Not what we've come to expect
After the lovely "The Age Of The Understatement" this is such a disappointment! A couple of nice songs to kick off the album but uninspiring overall. Shame.

Έγχορδα στις επάλξεις, η ηλεκτρική κιθάρα να καθορίζει το κεντρικό μονοπάτι του ρεφρέν ενώ ο ρυθμός των κρουστών είναι γρήγορος. Τα πάντα μας στρέφουν το βλέμμα προς τα 60's και μια ρετρό rock/pop.
Υ.Γ: Ναι, το debut album ήταν τόσο φανταστικό που κάνει τον φετινό δίσκο να φαίνεται μέτριος.

I have to start by saying I'm not a fan of either artist. That being said I listened to this more out of curiosity but once I did I was hooked. Brilliant production & writing by both guys. (Alex Turner & Miles Kane) There's a very big nod to the music of the 70's here with repeated homages to David Bowie.("Miracle Aligner") Other stand out tracks are the excellent opener "Aviation" which gives the perfect start to a musical journey of class. Other favourites are "Bad Habits", "Sweet Dreams TN" & "The Dream Synopsis" On the strength of this I need to check out their first collaboration & their respective original works with fresh ears and an open mind.
