Excelente versión de este oratorio de Handel intepretado con instrumentos originales y criterios históricos interpretativos. Los Gabrieli Consort and Players (coro y orquesta) suenan brillantes. La dirección de Paul McCreesh es brillante y dinámica. El bajo continuo formado por órgano y 2 claves suena muy bien realizado, a pesar de que se podía haber incorporado algun instrumento de cuerda pulsada como una tiorba. Las voces solistas son excelentes en donde destaca especialmente el contratenor Andreas Scholl.
