A real grower

I first heard of Young Fathers when they won a Mercury Prize for Best Album with 'Dead' I wasn't too enamoured with it I must say but obviously kept them in my head. This is their third album and it's a massive step up in quality. Based in Edinburgh, Scotland the main vibe is funk. A few tracks reminded me of bands like Hustle from the early 80's but there's also a modern twist.
Very original. Very interesting.
They apparently supported Massive Attack on their tour which sounds like a good marriage.
I wish I'd caught that tour.
Give it a try. Turn the volume up & feel it.
Highly recommended.
