All the most important and influential works by Steve Reich have been collected by the Nonesuch label in this impressive retrospective. From pioneering works like "It's Gonna Rain" and "Come Out" to early masterpieces like "Piano Phase" and "Four Organs", from "Drumming" to the minimalist cornerstone "Music for 18 Musicians", from "Desert Music" to new experimentalism of "City Life" you can find here an instrument to build a map of the evolution of the music and of the thought of Steve Reich. It is a perfect way to approach his music and a great instrument to understand most recent evolutions of his music, such as "WTC" and "Runner". Highly recommended collection, also because you have here all original recordings of the pieces, performed by Steve Reich the same and his group of musicians.
