Funki Porcini — Fast Asleep: Reviews
Ambient Dub at its finest
Released in 2002, this fine example of work, created by veteran Musiker, James Braddell, takes the listener on a rather unorthodox journey through the otherly worlds of Ambient/Jazz/Techno Dub. Unorthodox insofar as instead of clearly defined track beginnings and ends, this rather splendid album drifts through its listening duration in a rather film-noir-like manner. At times light and appealing. At others, dark and slightly unsettling, at least where this author here is concerned, however, as it's well worth a listen to, I'll let you folks find your own adjectives to best describe this aural delight. Just don't overtax yourselves, sit back and simply enjoy !
