This album, which features the original Broadway cast of Richard Burton and Julie Andrews, found a resonance with early 60s American audience due its comparison to the golden camelot era of JF kennedy. The songs are still breathtakingly good - though Andrews and Burtons and Robert Goulet's rendering of them seems a little mannered now.
