Stanley Turrentine — The Blue Note Stanley Turrentine Quintet / Sextet Studio Sessions: Reviews

Treasure Trove

21.12.2025 by david (See all user reviews)

This collection of Turrentine's Blue Note years focuses on his Quintet and Sextet Studio work, and it is a treasure trove of wonderful ballads, improvisation, and terrific player interplay. Taken from his many Blue Note albums, I can't think of a better compilation of his creativity and great playing. Surrounding by many of Blue Notes best players, he's inspired to do some of his greatest work.
