Dave Mason — Alone Together (Japan Edition): Κριτικές
The Original (and still the best)
This was the first Dave Mason album, and it was originally released in 1970 on multi colored marble-like vinyl. But it was far from a gimmick, and this album was one of the great early '70's albums in an era of great records. The songs are instantly singable and memorable, and the session players included some of the great LA studio players from that era. With drummers like Johnny Barbata, Jim Keltner, Jim Capaldi and Jim Gordon driving the beat, and back up vocals from Claudia Lennear and Rita Coolidge with Delaney and Bonnie, you can't miss. Other players include John Simon and Leon Russell. It's a great effort, and was far away the best effort for Mason. But be sure to download this original version and not the later "Alone Together Again" version which is an inferior attempt to duplicate this classic album. Highest possible recommendation for this one!
