What a pure gem!
I had never heard of this artist. I stumbled upon her on here and thought I'd give her a listen. WOW! It's like they built a machine that took Lily Allen, Lana Del Rey, Little Boots and Kate Bush and mixed them all together to get this fantastic album. Her later album is a piano led instrumental affair and albeit very good it lacks the power and impact that this has on your ears. It's definitely a grower and improves with each play so please buy it and give it a few listens. You'll be glad you did. There are so many subtle influences here. Top songs among a host of winners is "Mistakes", "Moonsea", "The Wolf", "Switchblade" and "Funeral Bell" What a great album.
Highly recommended. Should be better known.
