David Gray — Draw The Line: Comentarios
Another Cracker
This album didn't really grab me immediately, but after giving it time I would say that all the songs on it are very good and at least half of them are cracking numbers that you want to keep listening to over and over. From a song writing perspective, only White Ladder has stronger songs in my opinion. But where this album scores over White Ladder is that he has finally got his production values spot on. It's not as raw as his early stuff, but neither does it suffer from the needless electronic plinky plonky noises that detracted from White Ladder a little. The music that you hear here is all played by good honest musicians on real instruments. To give just one example, the bass playing on "Breathe" has a fantastic sound to it. So overall, it's the David Gray album that I most enjoy listening to. Recommended purchase.
