The First Two ABB Albums
Beginnings is a packaging of the first two ABB albums, the self titled first and Idlewild South. The foundation that these two albums provide for the ABB legacy cannot be overstated, and with the first bars of "Don't Want You No More", ABB announces that it has arrived. Every song is a classic, and they never got old when reprised in concert over the years. With echoes of Coltrane and Miles Davis in "Dreams", the ABB shows that while they are gut wrenching rock players, they're also grounded in Jazz. While it took "At Fillmore East" to truly awaken the world to their incredible musical skills, these two amazing albums represent a band busting out of the gate and turning rock music on it's head. Even today they sound as alive and powerful as they did a half a century ago. Highest possible recommendation!
