Fourplay — Silver: Reviews
One of the band's finest
This album celebrated 25 years of the trio of keyboard player Bob James, bassist and sometime vocalist Nathan East and drummer Harvey Mason’s time together as three-quarters of Fourplay. On this release, the quartet is completed by guitarist Chuck Loeb. There are guest appearances from previous occupants of the guitar chair Lee Ritenour and Larry Carlton, along with saxophonist Kirk Whalum.
Silver ranks as one of Fourplay’s finest achievements on record. Sadly, Loeb died of cancer in 2017.
