THAT'S HOW THE GODS PLAY MUSIC.....
This entire album is a beauty from start to finish and the musicians are all incredibly talented.It's world class soul/funk/afro-beat that really pays tribute to the giants of decades gone by.
All of the arrangements are exceptional, but I must say the strings really shine...
The flute ,the harp and the harpsichord in particular adding to the mystic and beguiling air that effortlessly transports the listener away both to the legends that the album draws on...
The result is a dramatic and cinematic journey to the outer limits of instrumental soul music, built on a foundation laid by the same craftsmen whose bricks built the legacies of Sharon Jones, Lee Fields, Charles Bradley, The Budos Band, and Menahan Street Band.
