Philadelphia had an incredible rock scene in the late 60's/early 70's, and Sweet Stavin' Chain was part of that scene. Along with Gulliver, Nazz, Woody's Truck Stop, Mandrake Memorial, Dingo, Edison Electric, Federal Duck and others, Philadelphia's great rock bands were part of a local scene that never quite went national. This album is one of the best of the few that these bands got to release, and except for a great Nazz collection, most of the recorded history of these bands is lost to history. So pick this one up and see what was happening at the Electric Factory back in the day.
