Middle of the road
I so wanted to love this. I was a Smashing Pumpkins fan & I'm always embracing of artists trying their hands at different genres & dipping their toes into new waters for them but this is an incoherent blend of bland in my ears. Trying his hand at ?American Folk was beyond Billy Corgan & hopefully it's a direction he'll stop looking towards as there are many out there doing it much better than him. Vocally, he's sounding great. But the songs aren't standing up & they're not even in the best order to leave you sighing & feeling unsatisfied at the end.
If you love his other work give it a listen. If you disagree with my opinion write your own review by all means.
Worth a listen but meh.
