A touch of class!
The Undertones were in a no-win situation in that their core audience didn't want them to move away from the punk/new wave of their first two albums. That is exactly what they did though, for 'Positive Touch': their third album. It's still got that unmistakable Undertones sound, just in a more grown-up way. This was an ambitious record that would have had many falling flat on their faces, but for the Undertones it was just a natural progression, which showed what a fantastic group they were. It's one of those rare albums that doesn't have a weak track on it. This release even contains the superb 'Beautiful Friend' as a bonus track. This is a great album that has been largely forgotten, and the cover artwork is great too.
