Great Songs

From a talented French Canadian songwriter,
this one is hard to classify.
Some blues, a bit of funk and pure rock but eminently musical and there are no wasted cuts.
As always, the French lyrics - unless you speak French - seem to minimize distraction from the vocals and instrumentals and that adds to the enjoyment of any song a bit too far to the Pop side.
A wide variety of styles on this album - all tightly played, well vocalized and engaging.
Another of my favorites courtesy CBC Radio 2 and A Propos.
It's mastered a bit too hot for my taste but that may be appropriate for the up-front genre here.
