Could have been better
I've been a fan of Cyndi Lauper for years and was excited to hear about a new album of country classics. Although I enjoyed some of these covers I always say if you can't better the original just leave it alone. "Walkin After Midnight" can never be bettered from Patsy Clines and I feel that if Cyndi had countrified some of her own well known songs it might have proved to be much more interesting. Not one to keep coming back to but you can tell this amazing lady had fun recording it. My favourites are "Funnel Of Love", "You're The Reason Our Kids Are Ugly" and "I Want To Be A Cowboy's Sweetheart". Worth a listen if you're a fan.
