Good writing
I first heard Mike Posner when he appeared at a festival. Sat on a chair with his acoustic guitar he began singing "I Took A Pill In Ibiza". The crowd were obviously more in touch with his work than I was as everybody (except me) began singing along. Word for word with great gusto. The atmosphere was filled with love. It was enough to make me seek out more. And this was what I found. An album filled with songs that mean something. Sung from the heart with no gimmicks. I love it. Writers like him are a dying breed and it's good to listen to either with a glass or while driving. I could have done without the uptempo remixes but I'm sure they'll appeal to the majority. Favourites for me are "I Took A Pill In Ibiza", "Not That Simple", "Be As You Are", "Silence", "Iris" & "Buried In Detroit"
Welcome addition to my collection.
Highly recommended.
