Lots of Beach Boy Fun
While Wilson's Carnegie Hall 2004 performance/recording (which is a must buy) is geared toward a broader range of his compositions, this 2016 performance is almost exclusively made up of Beach Boy's material. Not that it's a bad thing - the performances emphasize the vocals and there is a bit more of the backing band mixed in than in the Carnegie concert. But hearing these tunes with the vocals of a great backing chorus brings them to life in a way that sometimes outstrips the original Beach Boy recordings. Great fun and a comfortable listen!
