Typical Solid Cray Album
'Some Rainy Morning' is just about everything you expect from a newer Robert Cray album. The rhythm section is incredibly tight, the songs are personal, and the production sparse and slick. The added bonus on this disc are two tracks that Cray didn't compose - "Steppin'", an old Syl Johnson gem and 'Jealous Love', a great Wilson Pickett tune. Cray does justice to both, and overall, this is a solid Cray album.
