Raw & Raucous!
I have for a long time loved the best that country & bluesgrass can offer. The pickings have been thin for a while now. The height (for me anyway) was the vast and excellent early catalogue of Steve Earle. It didn't get more raw and intelligent than that in my opinion. But here is Old Crow Medicine Show carrying the torch for Americana (along with great artists like Gillian Welch). They really have an honest grasp on what the traditions of country music is without taking a step backwards. This is a great collection that really does portray their collections in a good light. The albums are worth hearing too though as it's difficult to fit all the songs worth hearing into a single album collection.
They have won numerous folk awards and have been credited by Marcus Mumford of Mumford & Sons as the band that got him into folk music.
Highly recommended for all Americana / folk / bluegrass lovers.
