Completely Void of Enthusiasm
One of the first supergroups of the era, Clapton, Winwood, Grech and Baker put out an album that could only have been done for the money. Billing themselves as Blind Faith was a very apt commentary, because only the blind faith of their fans was going to sell this album. Had it been a no-name group of musicians putting out these tunes, the sales would have been insignificant. And in this two volume Deluxe Edition, you get the bonus(?) disc of jams that are absolute snoozers. Okay, maybe "Presence of the Lord" later turned into a Clapton classic, but it took the guys in his Derek and Dominoes short lived group to make it great. And yes "Well Alright" would have been a more listenable hit if Traffic had done it, but two good songs don't make a supergroup LP. Everyone in this group did better work elsewhere.
