WOW!!! She's back!
I've long been in awe of Alison Moyet and that stunning voice. I was a massive fan of her early albums in Yazoo and still enjoy them now. I heard a rumour that she was set to do a massive tour in September and was to be her first 'proper' tour in 30 years! She sounds incredible here. It's worth noting that the production is absolutely faultless too The atmosphere she can inject into a song is something to sit back & enjoy. This is a mature Moyet though so don't come in expecting 80's dance beats. This is crammed with artistically developed songs with words that mean something. Brilliant artist. Favourites so far are "Lover Go", "The Rarest Birds", "Reassuring Pinches", Other" & "Alive"
Late night music from the modern day queen of jazz.
Highly recommended.
