Interesante interpretación de estas obras de Abel con instrumentos originales y criterios históricos. En esta ocasión, Anthony Halstead no aparece en su común faceta de trompista sino que en esta ocasión lo encontramos como director y clavecinista. El sonido de la orquesta es bueno pero a esta versión le falta fuerza interpretativa. Todo queda un poco descafeinado y un poco más de energía le vendría muy bien a este tipo de música. Aún así es un disco interesante porque se trata de obras muy poco interpretadas. Ciertamente Abel es también un gran compositor.
