Their best yet!
I've been a fan of The National for quite a few years now and I've loved their intensity with a fervour which has never diminished in any way. Up until now I thought that 'Alligator' was their best album to date but this changes that. It's close but the consistency of this new masterpiece puts it firmly onto the top shelf of excellence for me. On an album with no fillers I'd recommend them all but favourites so far are "Nobody Else Will Be There", "Day I Die", "The System Only Dreams In Total Darkness", "Guilty Party" & "Carin At The Liquor Store"
If you loved any of their earlier work this is a must buy for you. And anyone new to the band should really give this a listen.
Highly recommended.
