Living legend...
Rod Stewart is one of those singers that doesn't seem to suffer vocally with age...the husky voice is almost identical to 30 years ago...but the classic songs that will be played for generations are lacking. Don't get me wrong...it's a good album. The songs are personal & heartfelt but they (for me) lack that catchiness that keeps a listener coming back to replay it time & time again.
There are though some lovely personal songs here that have resonance for the fact that they come from a man who has indeed lived a full life.
Well worth a listen. Especially for hardened fans.
