Sam Sweeney released this beautiful album in time for the centenary of WW1 and what a fitting tribute to the soldier, Richard Howard, who never came back from that war & never got to finish making his violin. The selection of songs is perfectly in keeping with the period in mind & is such a beautiful & fitting tribute to a lost soldier. In these troubled times we need to remember the beauty we lose with each life.
Great arrangements & accompaniment to Sams fiddle playing.
Folk music as it should be.
I love this album....very much.
Highly recommended.
