Simply beautiful
Lisa Hannigan has a loyal following deservedly but for those of you who aren't familiar with her work, you might have heard her angelic vocals on many hits penned & sung by another Irish artist called Damien Rice.
I would compare her a little to Joanna Newsom. Lisa's writing is more literal though. Whereas a lot of Newsom's work is rather surreal & ethereal.
This is late night reflective music. Something to curl up quietly with...like a good book.
A lovely album of nicely written songs sung beautifully.
Recommended.
