1973 Radio Concert at WBCN
WBCN was one of the best radio stations in the world for about a decade from the mid-sixties to the late seventies. During that time they hosted live in studio concert sets from some of the great bands and solo artists of the era, and this recently released live in the studio set from Bob Marley and the Wailers is a revelation. Recorded two years before the famous Lyceum concert in 1975, this well recorded "recital" is more like a club date than the later recorded large concert hall and stadium concerts. While the vocals are under-mixed, the recording is clear and excellent for a radio broadcast. A treat for all Marley fans, and this is one recording that deserves constant rotation.
