Like an old friend
Jeb Loy Nichols has possibly released one of his best albums yet & that is saying something. The vibe on here is so stripped back & simple in production that it gives it an instant "classic" sound like the soul greats of the past 40 years. Jeb describes this album as a musical conversation among friends & that's perfect.
The result is a bunch of old friends creating a mix of soul & country while sharing a collection of good stories. It rarely gets much better than this.
Highly recommended.
