Creative and Progressive Contemporary Jazz Guitar
For the Saudi-born British guitarist’s fourth outing, he is accompanied by Ivo Neame on piano, Tom Farmer on double bass and James Maddren on drums. Tim Garland and Michael Chillingworth add reeds to two tracks apiece, whereas Adam Kovacs provides percussion to the two opening numbers. All tracks are Law compositions except the standard “My Old Flame”. The compositions and improvisations are strong and all those interested in creative and progressive contemporary jazz guitar should investigate.
