Wonderful Collaborations
Bonnie Raitt, Joan Osborne and Mary Chapin Carpenter, Joni Mitchell and others make this a very different type of record from the Chieftains. Singing traditional Irish songs and stamping their own mark on them with the formidable assistance of the Chieftains makes for amazing collaborations with each and every woman on this record. Not a bad cut on the disc, and when it ends with Diana Krall singing "Danny Boy", you are definitely left wanting more. It is just a beautiful record from beginning to end.
