Mother's Finest. The funk/rock band from Georgia, Atlanta, USA, got their breakthrough in Europe in GrugaHalle in Essen, Germany, 4. march in 1978 at The Rockpalast. A series of West German TV productions. They were completely unknown till that evening.
The band was one of the first to combine funk and rock and it seemed to be need in Europe. Ever since that they have been known in most important countries outside USA.
The Mother's Finest - live album contains the most famous songs. "Give you all the love (inside of me)". "Fire". "Baby Love" and "Mickey's Monkey" (written by Holland/Dozier, as an exception)
When you listen to the record, it's hard to imagine you as part of the audience, not moving or dancing. You are filled with energi and get carried away. Just listen to the audience.
The band is playing so good. The songs work well and are catchy.

If you think: "Hmm. Wish I'd seen them" I can tell you. They are around. Saw them in Flensburg, Germany, 17. feb. 2017. Wauw... I was blown away. What a performance. Energy, dynamic and professionalism from 4 of the origional members + new drummer and extra guitaris. I am still a fan!
