The Eccentric label has been responsible for digging up forgotten tracks from lost soul labels from all over the US. Since their releases are normally label specific collections, this one is very different in that it's Modern Soul tracks from small labels that are more current. Current, of course, is a relative term. But what makes this collection terrific is that these tracks are all danceable, and it is a great party record. All the tracks are new to me, and they are all first class dancing tunes. Great collection from a very unexpected source!
