yet another late career triumph!!
A great, top quality album by Sir Paul McCartney and is no surprise it hit no.1 in US (last time for him was in 1982) and also his first album debuting at the Billboard top spot! It is surprising full of energy and the music sounds so fresh and carefully produced. The album starts from the opening station and each song has a unique story to tell. The compositions are really good and include several different instruments while the album is consistent and has a good flow between songs. There are ballads, rock tunes, mid-tempo and some songs will remind the Beatles magic as well to the listener. Apart from the released singles, hidden gems include the sweet Confidante, the beautiful Back in Brazil, the epic 7-minute Despite repeated warnings and the fantastic three-in-one closing song. A great album for your collection, either a new or old fan of McCartney!
