Exciting New Album
One the most exciting new albums I've listened to a while - an album filled with emotion and melody but also a touch of the ridiculous
Refreshing
This band have such a healthy uniqueness about themselves while offering respectful nods to those who came before and obviously inspired them. Bands like Talking Heads and XTC come to mind. I love how the lead singer (Jonathan Higgs) uses falsetto to get the sound he's after. The music is certainly taking precedence over image and that's how all the greats tended to be in order to develop into something important in music. My stand outs are "Cough Cough", "Kemosabe", "Feet For Hands" and "Armourland" among an album lacking any 'fillers'
