Lake - the best
The German band Lake ( has nothing to do with the trio: Emmerson , Lake & Palmer) was founded in the beginning of the 1970. The songs on Paradise Island is actually two albums on one CD. The first, called Lake and the third called Paradise Island. So this buy is some kind of a bonus. It's a mix of rock and a touch of pop. Great harmonies and great musicians. Unfortunately the leadsinger James Hopkins died in 1991. The Berlin/Hamburg guitarplayer Alex Conti re-formed the band, and the newest line-up features singer Ian Cussik. In feb. 2014 they released the album Wings Of Freedom and late september 2014, a live album called: Wings Of Freedom Tour. On 25.october 2014, which was yesterday (at this moment) I saw them at a concert in Flensburg, Germany. It was well-played. Very good vocals and Alex Conti is something special on his guitar. I give the concert 4 stars out of 5. KS from DK
