A bit more poppy than previous album yet still great work
"Mechanical Animals" is a more poppy album than "Antichrist Superstar" for example yet still delivers the typical manson industrial sound fans have liked. 1998 was a good year for metal and this album is not an exception to the rule. Great manson industrial metal sound with a decent manson shock factor and tackling some taboo subjects such as drug use ("The Dope show") it had all the ingredients to become quickly loved by fans of manson and fans of the genre. Well worth the purchase.
