Orphaned Land, Kobi Farhi — All Is One (Limited Edition): Reviews
Good Metal - Very positive Message
This is an album with one of the most positive messages you will ever hear. It has been much influenced by israeli-palestinioan conflict and its need to end as well as possibly, the entire scene in the middle east currently. The metal itself is really much like metal is supposed to be, decent battery, decent guitar. Being a middle eastern band, as with their previous release, you will clearly hear middle eastern influences in their music and that is quite fine and definitely something new in the world of metal. The choruses and the chanting will work as well. You will clearly hear elements of middle eastern instruments here and there and this just brings a great addition to the overall theme of the album. Unfortunately the metal does lack the growls and is quite ballady for what should be a metal record. No growls, not much heaviness, will make this more of a metal ballads album then a full blown metal album. I still consider it worth buying and worth giving it a listen as it is quite unique and the band are quite different from the mainstream with their middleeastern take on metal. Still, no growls, not much heaviness will make me not consider this a truly great metal record but still a decent record within the world of metal. Hope i helped.
