Καλό μεν, αλλά...
Τέσσερα χρόνια πέρασαν από το «τσαχπίνικο» και άκρως ενδιαφέρον άλμπουμ «Tonight: Franz Ferdinand» και ο Alex Kapranos με την παρέα του μόλις κυκλοφόρησαν την τέταρτή τους δουλειά με τα «πιασάρικα» singles «Right Action» και «Love Illumination» να έχουν προηγηθεί, προετοιμάζοντάς μας για το ύφος του άλμπουμ. Παρ’όλο που το «Right Thoughts, Right Words, Right Action» περιέχει κάποια αδιάφορα κομμάτια όπως το «Goodbye Lovers & Friends» που κλείνει το άλμπουμ και ο Alex Kapranos με αποκάλεσε τρελό στο twitter επειδή δεν μου άρεσε, σε γενικές γραμμές είναι μια τολμηρή προσπάθεια που «ερεθίζει» το αυτί σου. Λαμπερό, παρανοϊκό και ψυχεδελικό είναι μερικές λέξεις που θα μπορούσαν να χαρακτηρίσουν τραγούδια όπως τα «Evil Eye», «Bullet», «Stand on the Horizon», «Fresh Strawberries» και “The Universe Expanded”, ενώ δεν υπάρχει περίπτωση να μη βρεις κάποιο κομμάτι να σου κολλήσει. Το «Right Thoughts, Right Words, Right Action» σίγουρα δεν είναι η καλύτερη κυκλοφορία των Franz Ferdinand, αλλά έχει ζωντάνια, άποψη και γοητεία τα οποία δε μπορείς να μην εκτιμήσεις και στο τέλος να αγαπήσεις κιόλας.
