Το "AM" σίγουρα είναι το πιο πλουραλιστικό album των Arctic Monkeys. Οι τεράστιες κιθάρες συνυπάρχουν με τον γνήσιο λυρισμό και η pop ευστροφία μπλέκεται με σύγχρονους αστικούς ρυθμούς. Όπως είναι λογικό η μετάβαση από το βροχερό Λονδίνο στο ηλιόλουστο Λος Άντζελες, επηρέασε και τον ήχο του συγκροτήματος με αποτέλεσμα η μουσική τους να γίνεται πιο groovy από ποτέ. Οι Arctic Monkeys εξελίσσουν τον ήχο τους, σε αντίθεση με πολλές μπάντες που παρουσιάστηκαν την ίδια περίοδο με αυτούς και απευθύνονταν στο ίδιο κοινό,και σε συνδυασμό με την συνθετική δεινότητα του Alex Turner είναι ένα από τα σπουδαιότερα συγκροτήματα της εποχής μας.
