Nothing New from Ben
There are a lot of recordings of Ben Webster from various club dates after he permanently relocated to Europe, and this is one of them. The supporting players aren't noted, but they are good, and there's a real possibility that Henning ØRsted Pedersen, Kenny Drew, and Alex Riel are the backing trio since the chemistry is right. This is a set list that can be heard on many of Webster's club albums from this era, and while there is nothing new here, it's still a very listenable set. Webster didn't record anything special toward the end of his career, but he always gave the crowd what they came to hear.
