Adamo in Spanish
Salvatore Adamo was born in Sicily but made his career in Belgium where he now resides (74 years old). He became very famous in the 1960's and 1970's for his soft-rock ballads telling stories of teen love and heartbreak. He traveled throughout the world singing mostly in French but also in seven other languages, and has sold over 80 million albums and 20 million singles. This compilation is of his most popular interpretations in Spanish, and includes one of his greatest hits: Inch'Allah, written by him as a peace song in the context of the Six-Day War between Israel and the Arab states. It was translated into other languages, but was banned in the Arab world because it was perceived as pro-Israel and because it mentioned Jerusalem as a Jewish City. Overall, a great compilation of Adamo's hits in Spanish. Highly recommended if you like retro ballads.
