“Bang Bang”
Οι Monophonics, είναι μια 6μελής μπάντα από το San Francisco. Το συγκρότημα σχηματίστηκε το 2005. Στην αρχική ομάδα των Ian McDonald, Myles O’Mahony, Alex Baky, Ryan Scott και Austin Bohlman, προστέθηκε και ο Kelly Finnigan στα πλήκτρα αλλά και τα φωνητικά.
Ως μουσικές τους επιρροές αναφέρουν ονόματα όπως οι George Clinton, Sly Stone και Norman Whitfield.
Το άλμπουμ με τίτλο ‘In your Brain’ περιέχει τη διασκευή του περίφημου “Bang Bang” της Nancy Sinatra κ θεωρείται μια από τις καλύτερες διασκευές που έγιναν ποτέ!
Πρόκειται για την τρίτη ολοκληρωμένη δουλειά του συγκροτήματος, ένα άλμπουμ γεμάτο από soul και funk στοιχεία, με τον ήχο τους να παραπέμπει πολύ στην ψυχεδέλεια του ’60 και του ’70, με ξεκάθαρες όμως και τις σύγχρονες επιρροές τους.
