Interesante versión la de John Butt, que reproduce la versión del Mesías de Handel de Dublín de 1742. En el aria Every Valley (CD1 ) el pasaje orquestal de orquesta antes de la intervención del tenor solista es más largo porque no tiene en cuenta unas tachaduras del manuscrito original, quizás no hechas por Handel.
