Livingston Taylor — 3-Way Mirror: Reviews
Slick Production
If Livingston Taylor existed in a musical universe without James Taylor, he probably would have an even greater following than he does now. He's written some terrific songs and made many great albums over the years, but he's always existed in the shadow of his older brother. This album, 3-Way Mirror, has some terrific songs on it, and while the production by Charles Koppelman is a bit slick, the arrangements by Kai Winding are excellent and the support of great session players like Jim Keltner (drums) and Lee Ritenour (guitar) show the expense that went into Columbia's efforts to make Liv a star. It's a great record and it's followup, Man's Best Friend is it's equal in many respects. You need both of them.
