Trippy genius
This album heralded a return to the more progressive kind of rock that had (to be fair) built up the fan base that Steven Wilson became acquainted with. The heavier rock touches have been toned down and the experimental leaps have been taken again. I love this. I like the way we fans are stretched by the genius of this guy. It's healthy. We need this more than ever in a sea of blandness & samey music hitting us from all directions. The ultimate blend of power and finesse & not a bad track to be found.
If you enjoy Pink Floyd or Peter Gabriel this is the band & singer who was destined to take their crown.
Highly recommended.
