On some levels I would say that this is the best album Patrick Watson has made yet. On other levels I'd say it wasn't as good. My reasons?
The best?....it's so well crafted. The songs are beautifully crafted & the appeal is higher for me. The songs are stronger and finely balanced throughout the whole collection from beginning to end.
The voice?....the voice has lost some of it's falsetto qualities but, for me, that makes it better. Easier to understand. To sing along with without sounding like a boiling kettle.
I can't wait for the new one coming soon if this is a taste of what's to come.
Highly recommended.
