Redwing — Redwing: Reviews
Real retro magic
Bought this simply cos I liked the first track "The Underground Railway" On listening to the rest I have to say it's a real taste of Americana at it's best. "Dark Thursday" is a great story in the style of 'The Band'. Other stand out tracks are the funky "Sweetwalkin Lady", "I'm Your Lover Man", "Shorty Go Home" has a jangly class not unlike the scouse band 'The La's' and "Hogtied" has the late sixties written all over it. Great stuff! Makes me want to travel back in time & get myself a ticket to California to bum with the rest of the hippies & flower power brigade!
